“For many families, and even service providers, they may not know where to start when looking for resources for their child or loved one diagnosed with autism or some other developmental disability,” said Michelle McDaniel.
Our team of physicians, nurses and other staff is dedicated to caring for women in every life stage, from prepuberty to post-menopause. Our obstetricians and gynecologists are dedicated to the health and wellness of our patients. We provide access to the region’s largest group of specialists devoted to all areas of women’s health. Our subspecialists include maternal-fetal physicians (high-risk OB), gynecological oncologists, and pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is located inside the USA Health Strada Patient Care Center on the third floor. The physicians also see patients on the fourth floor of Children's & Women's Hospital.
The Center for Women's Health's hours of operation are Monday though Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Our physicians are also educators in the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama. Visit the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology to learn about its academic mission, residency and fellowship program.
Our providers offer routine exams for women, along with referrals for screening and diagnostic mammograms.
Pregnant patients from throughout the Gulf Coast region who suffer from conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, lupus or other chronic diseases, or may be having multiple births, are typically referred to our high-risk obstetrics team.
We provide leading-edge OB/GYN care to women of all ages. Regular gynecologic exams are an important part of maintaining your overall health. For patients who are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, your obstetrician also provides preconception and prenatal care, including lab screenings, physical exams and fetal ultrasound evaluations.
The Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Division will better serve adolescents under the age of 18 in the Gulf Coast area for gynecologic needs.
From routine deliveries to those that require additional expertise, USA Health cares for more women and babies than anyone else in the region. Our team of physician specialists, nurses and technicians tends to the needs of mother and child before, during and after delivery with the most advanced technology and a family-centered approach.
